Different naming convention

Aug 27, 2013 at 12:53 PM
It it possible to change the naming convention for solution and project names? We usually have solutions named <Company>.<Client>.<Project> and the same name for the SharePoint project.

We can name the solution <Company>.<Client> and the project <Project> which would result in a WSP file named like in our naming conventions, but this wouldn't work well if we have additional common class libraries. Also we like to have project name the same as the namespace, which is be default differnt with SPSF.

Hi, you can't change the default at the moment.

But you can change the generated PackageName, SolutionName, ProjectName etc. directly in VS as usual.
SPSF4.1 and above along with SPSD for deployment will should continue to work with that.

Of course features will continue to be named after the naming convention of SPSF.
