Microsoft Guidance Automation Extensions

Hi,

After reading through your documentation, I went to Microsoft's site and the MGAE are retired. I poked around a bit and there are some other similar things, but most are no longer being supported. I was just wondering if there are alternate instructions to include more current apps and/or how this works. Thanks.

Hi,

yes, unfortunately MGAE seem to be not continued by MS. Nevertheless the current version works fine with VS2010.

We are currently working on the next release of SPSF and will evaluate future options to replace MGAE afterwards.

Regarding help with MGAE there is almost nothing out there in the internet. We learned most of it by trial an error. But feel free to download the source code of SPSF to see how we are making use of GAE.

Of course you first require MGAT (Toolkit) to get started with development.

Best regards

Matt
